I finally am a member of the SG community. Yay. However, I'm not sure how long I can keep it because the girlfriend and myself have run into some financial hardships.
Our car broke down Sunday. We were driving home from Mansfield and all of a sudden the damn car wouldn't shift. We got out and after several dumb asses drove by in their working automobiles starring, a nice fellow stopped and helped us out. We had to call my step-dad and make him come get the car and drive it to his house. They worked on the car for two days and couldn't fix it. It's in the shop right now. It's either one of two things. One option will cost around $100, the other $500. If I were religious, I'd so be praying right now.
In other news, Mel and I were planning on moving to the even smaller town of Mount G to help a friend out in her time of financial need. But when the car broke down, we realized that our priorities are way fucked up. We would rather go out to dinner than pay for my college application. We'd rather get two laptops from Showplace than pay rent. It's ridiculous. Besides, most couples start out living with friends and dream of having their own place. We'd be going backwards if we moved. Our apartment/tree house is adorable and very affordable.
Columbus Pride was Saturday. We had hotel reservations for two days and planned on saving cash. But, alas, we are incapable of saving money ever. So, we decided not to go and have a yard sale instead. We woke up early and set everything up. We sat outside for an hour when our friends pulled up. "The parade starts in 2 hours. Go get dressed. " We put a sheet over the stuff and were on our way. It was a fun time, but we didn't stay as long as I would have liked. Everyone was sunburned and tired. We just decided to go back to our apartment for some margaritas and Monopoly. Pride or no Pride, you can't beat that.
I have no SG friends (with the exception of my best friend from high school, the lovely Kelland. But here are a couple photos from Saturday's event.

You can still prayer even though you're not religious, persay. Anyone can pray. There aren't any real "requirements."
Why are the pictures so tiny? That makes me sad.
