Mirror image looking back, Full of Fantasy and stuff like that.
I had the worst dream ever last night and woke myself up screaming for someone who wasnt there. it was really scary. and oh so real.
Today as i am sitting here at my computer i glanced at a picture of a bunch of friends and there was my reflection and all i could wonder is what is next. i have been really confused for the past 3 months. and things are starting to pan out for the best. but i am still not sure where the next path i take is gonna lead me. i often wonder where i will end up in the next year. i must say so far in my life 24 has been the roughest year yet. but as 25 approaches things are starting to look good. i guess.
it feels really good to have a camera in my hands again on a daily basis. i wish i could get more paid photo work. as of the moment i am working something like 9 jobs. and still want more. 2 of them dont pay but they are keeping me shooting. so i cant complain.
then after the photography for the 2 non-paying mags, i have 1 paying mag i take pics for, i also write for another magazine that does pay,and for all the photo jobs i get to edit all the pics which i consider a job. then there is all the guitar companys i shoot for but dont see $ till the end of the year but that is cool. at least every january is a laid back month for me. then i have a retail job that i start next week. that is gonna be weird i havent worked retail since i was 16. but i figured why not. then when in need of $ in a flash i have 2 bars i can waltz into when ever i please and hop up on stage. i am trying to avoid the bars though, but i still end up there every now and again. i think this week is gonna be a bar week.
i was thinking of trying to get a job at a day care down the road from me also. i used to care for 3 kids and that was sooo much fun. i love childeren. but i am just not ready for any of my own. my kittie is my baby for now.
Oh yeah and i am a SG model does that count as a job? well when i go live i will count that.
i am sitting here listening to Mozart. i should be editing pics but figured i would update my blog before i set in for a long days work at the pc. i am going to disconnect from the internet and bring the Laptop on to the porch to edit. it is such a nice day out here in cali. my cat loves mozart. her ears start moving like little radar detectors with her eyes closed almost like she is conducting with her ears.
I know i promised Warped tour pics but they are one set of pics i need to edit.
Yesterday i had a great time with SGOC for breakfast. i have no clue what i was eating at that chinese joint but it was good times. after breakfast some of us went to the mall it was good times.
Timmy, Mnementh, and Korleeta had a blast at the mall. got to love little asain malls. i couldnt tell you what 1/2 the stuff said on the signs in there except this one in my attachments folder about the esclator. i probally spelled that wrong but oh well. but we made the trip to the mall fun. the market afterwards on a mission to find a drink was intresting. i am EDITING cause Mnementh insists i must share this with all even though the thought of this place makes me want to

imagine this you walk into a supermarket and there are the usual isles of canned and bagged food. but there is a very strong stench of something rotting. so you walk to the back of the store in search of a DR. PEPPER cause you just saw the machine outside where they were $0.40 and then discoved the machine is there for looks and the plug is just laying on the ground. you figure soda is in an isle. well i forget we are in an asain market. the whole back wall is nothing but fish and strange meats not wraped in anything just laying out on crushed ice. this store is hotter inside than it is outside. can you smell it yet. Yes that would be the heat rotting the array of fish and meat. for a minnute i thought they were selling decaying bodies. that would be funny decaying bodies isle 11. ok maybe not. by the time we found the soda hidden i a front corner of the store i swear that stench was embeded in my clothes and my nose. i dont think i will ever eat fish again.
now back to the rest of the blog.
later that night i went to do a shoot for Skinnie magazine. my assignment was to shoot the TOTAL COMBAT event down in San Deigo. when i heard total combat i was hoping for live MORTAL COMBAT. i was excited to maybe see someone dress up like the characters but i was wrong once again. it was like a UFC fight but more brutal and less known names. those fights were insaine. now may i mind you i was taking pics for a magazine so i had pit seats. this means i am shooting right infront and through the cage. the 1st fight was over in 3 seconds, i dont think i got any good pics of that one. the second one was over in 5 mins.
MAY I MIND YOU THIS IS REAL FIGHTING NOT LIKE WWE OR WWF.
During the second fight one guy had the others face pressed against fence where i was sitting and was choking him out. i was staring at his face and preying the other guy let go of him. i was raised to believe violence didnt resolve anything. so why do it for sport. but he was choking him so hard his eyes rolled in the back of his head and went limp. they had to use smelling salt to revive him. and the guy who choked him won. i dont understand this sport.
the last fight the winner broke the other guys leg in 5 different spots. all i heard was pop snap pop snap pop. that noise made me cring. my legs were hurting and it didnt even happen to me.
after every fight i was allowed to hop in the ring and photograph the fighters. that was fun.
I hope they get paid good for fighting. and i really hope they have health insurance.
if anyone knows where to find video from yesterdays Total Combat fight in San Deigo i would love to see it. i am sure i am in some of the video cause they were pressed against the fence where i was shooting.
I just got a press package for the casualties in the mail and on august 22nd i highly suggest if you are into punk go pick it up. it is called UNDER ATTACK. i love this cd.
ok i am off to Edit pics, then go to the store and buy a case of redbull then clean my apartment, and then i am gonna chill out for the night and try to finnish "Killing Your Self to Live" the book that i cant put down but know i have to cause there are other more important things to do.
