The new semester's started up, so I'm busy again. But this time around, I know the game. It's the same devil, but now it's the one I know rather than the one I don't know.

P.S.
There was some problem with the air conditioning in school today...all our classes were way too hot. That's what January in Orange County, California is like.

So I guess it's been about a week since i finally got around to signing up for SG. Since then, I've spent x number of hours on the site (I actually lost count a long time ago); and I must have made myself look like a fool or a creep or a social 'tard n number of times. I'm guessing x is approximately equal to...

I only just found out that Britney Spears got married over the weekend, and is now...not divorced, but annulled anyhow. I'd have thought that the hype machine would have issued an emergency alert or something, at least in Southern California.

From now on I have to make it a point never to post drunk...like I am at this very moment...
misstyrios:
haha - oh, how i wish i had been drunk last night. but no, back to school today. i too am a 1L - i took one year off between college and law school, and honestly i think i am one of the few who actually feels like i have found my real calling in life. of course, i have my bouts of misery and hatred towards Property and Contracts, but unlike a lot of my bretheren who are here because the economy sucks or a JD degree equals more earning power, i actually really want to be here. my plan is to be a criminal prosecutor - but for now, back to Torts....

Here in Anahiem, it's a chilly 45 degrees at sunrise. If it's windy at all today, we might have to wear more than shorts and a T-shirt. That's winter in Southern California.

Southern California weather is weird. It hardly ever rains here, but when it does -- even just a little drizzle -- half the streets wind up flooded.

it's 45 degrees and rainy in boston and it seems like wonderful weather by our standards...when it isn't 15 degrees and blizzarding, we love it.

i love that i'm your friend twice over wink

I'm not a graphic artist or an animator or anything...not even into anime. But I'm really impressed with how much better animation in general is now than it was ten or twenty years ago, at least in the States. Probably most of that is because of the computer, but even the scripts and plots seem to be getting better. I recently saw a DVD of...

Apparently there's a rich homeless guy hanging out in North Beach, San Francisco.

"I'm rich, but I like it out here. I ain't sleeping inside," Dinarde mumbled through sips of vodka last summer, as he sat with legs splayed in front of St. Francis of Assisi Church. "You can't make me."

Ah North Beach...that was the best place I personally ever lived.

hum, I don't remember the fibonacci comment. I don't know how much better the Lovich thing is, sometimes I just can't get that insane german screech owl's voice out of my head. The Target ad hasn't been helping.

What's wrong with the occasional 'mreh'? mreh!

Damn. I just joined SG a few days ago, and I'm alarmed. I could get addicted so easily. I better leave a trail of breadcrumbs, so I can find my way back...

feel free =)

another SG law student?? we are few and far between (as are, i suppose, decently cool law students in general). and yes, the site is damn addictive (when you find yourself accessing it in the library and looking around guiltily, let me know).

and happy birthday wink

Happy 2004, everybody! On the one hand, it's just a number, just another day, not a real milestone. On the other hand, who needs more than a thin excuse to wish anybody a happy anything? Happy Thursday, too. No, I'm not turning into a hippie. According to this quiz I'm a Hobbesian.

I know it's New Year's Eve, but frankly today just feels like Wednesday. In principle, I approve of debauchery on New Year's, at least as much as any other day. But in practice, I'm not really into it. At its worst, it can seem kind of forced, with all the amateur partiers running around. The very best NYE parties can change your life and make...
