Today was one of those beautiful days that make Orange County seem like paradise with the foreshadowing of horror soon to come, like one of those commercials for "Forever Eden" with the garden snake twisting around a Granny Smith apple.
Today, the weather was like a tropical paridise...in early March. If this were a real tropical paradise, it would stay like this year-round...but that isn't what's gonna happen. In a few weeks, it'll be a little sticky and uncomfortable. June will be like getting hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat.
Well, that's Southern California for you. Fool's paradise, and all that..."Hollywood Confidential" and so forth.
