Man oh man, this week is going to be the looooooooongest week of my year. I need to start the process of getting the hell out of here and back to the world, but they (they: (n) a mystical military entity whose sole purpose is to ruin any plans you might have had for anything) decided that an exercise was in order. And...

yep, too many of them...
Another week down. Another in a long stretch of weeks that is slowly building to the crescendo that is my departure. I wonder how I'm going to adjust to the real world, having been gone so long. And without television to boot. I'll be a cultural vacuum, I won't have any idea what's going on on "Friends" or anything. but I'm going to sit in...

Friends? Well you have come to the right place...Monica and Chandler had been trying to have a baby, but after several failed attempts, decided to adopt. SURPRISE! They ended up with twins. Decided to move away from the city. Rachel got offered a job in Paris, and almost took it, but SURPRISE, she got OFF the plane and returned to Ross, yeah, after 10 seasons, they finally got their shit together. Phoebe married Mike, happily ever after for Phoebs...and Joey...*sigh* Joey has ended up with his own show with his on screen sister, who was the most recently wacked off of the Sopranos. The new show leaves you wanting to see the others, but Matt LeBlanc's ability for humor has grown by leaps and bounds. Friends ended in May, I'm sorry to say, but after you get all the DVD's...you'll be quizzed, because it's the show that won't ever die.
How's that?

josephene:
OH, and Budweiser is beating Miller in the beer commercials...but that's pretty much expected.

There is no better feeling on Earth; no wine sweeter, no drug more euphoric, than being in love. I believe that, as sullen as I seem sometimes, nothing beats being in love.

Happy Veteran's Day

I think time has stopped it's inexorable march towards oblivion. It feels as if this day will never end, and as such I will never leave this place. If I have a Groundhog Day, I don't want it to be here. Dont get me wrong, nothing bad happened today. Nothing phenominal happened today either, but I'm not wanting the day to be over because it...

Keep a close eye on the big picture when things feel "Groundhog Day'y." You're almost done!! That's goodness wrapped up with a ribbon and bow. Keep marching forward.

I have less than 40 days left here. I've never looked this forward to a looooong plane ride in my entire life.
stirfry:

Word. Going to talk to an Army National Guard recruiter tomorow. If they let me get commisioned, I'll probably join.
josephene:
Always love the love!!! Thanks!!!

Bush wins...again. And it only took slightly less than 36 days to happen. Thank you, Mr Kerry for being a man about the whole thing.
You know, I didn't realize how quickly the day goes by when you're not under somebody's thumb all day. I'm really starting to like midshift (graves for you civilian types).

There are very, and I mean very, few things that I'd go back and change. The things that happened in my past made me the person I am today, good or bad. And every day I'm closer and closer to being content with who I am. There are however three very specific weeks that I'd love to have back. I'd love to take back the...

Yes. I failed someone in the fall of 1990. Maybe I'd have made a difference, maybe not. But I loved her and miss her still.
