Well, I'm back. Interesting trip, finding out how the ROKAF (Republic of Korea Air Force) does business. A lot of it was very boring, even for me; so I'm going to save you all the details. Suffice it to say that it seems to me that they have more pride in their job and their workplace than a lot of people in the USAF. Not that there's not pride in what most of us do, there is. We just don't take care of support equipment and facilities as well as they do, apparently. Part of our mentality, I think. We are very focused on geting jets fixed, to the point that other things fall by the wayside. OH, one more thing I learned; if a ROKAF captain says he's going to hurt you when you go drinking, it means he's going to be late for work and he'll throw up at some point in the day. Meanwhile, you'll just be hungry because he cause you to miss breakfast (he was late, after all).
Typical weekend coming up...chores and hockey, mountain biking and grocery shopping. Love to you all.
