Today I was reminded why I dislike people. I took my Jeep in to get worked on, thinking it was going to cost some maddening amount of money, and it turned out to cost about $127. Cool, I think, and I got it back before I leave for Arizona (more on that later). So I get home and I'm looking at the transfer case; which was leaking, hence the repair; and I find what looked to be a loose bolt on the cross member. No big thing, I think, people worked on this, not machines, and I can see where they might forget to tighten up a bolt. I'm glad I caught it. So I grab my ratchet, attempt to tighten it up and what do you know. It's not loose, it's stripped. And they weren't even going to tell me. So I call them up, and the guy that worked on it says "We can put a bigger bolt in it". No, hey sorry we dicked up your Jeep. No, bring it right in, we'll take care of it. Nope, "We can put a bigger bolt in it". And when do you ask? Tomorrow, first thing.

Which leads me to my second rant: horray for me I leave for Arizona tomorrow. I'm going to class to learn about the jet (A-10) that I'll be working on in Korea. And while I'll be going to class, really it'll be over three weeks of prime fuck-off time away from the hell that is Langley AFB. Needless to say, tomorrow, first thing, is too late. So I'm getting it fixed when I get back. Fucking people.
