When, as an adult, does one start to feel one's age??? Remember as a kid, grown-ups always telling you to act you're age? Back then, acting your age meant chewing with your mouth closed, speaking only when spoken to, not picking on your sister, and behaving in church. Now acting your age means a 9-5 job, retirement account, house, wife, kids, and a slow painful slide into oblivion. I don't feel 31. I don't look 31. I sure as fuck don't act 31. I like acting up. I tell fart and mastication jokes. I ride a bicycle...for fun. I flirt (badly, but what the hell). I have a theory that after you turn 27 you no longer act your age, you regress. Until you're 68. Then you just stop caring. And start the slide. Unless you're in a shitty relationship, then you're always sliding.
p.s. Pick up the new Jane's Addiction. It's their best stuff, after Nothing's Shocking.
