Have I got a story for you. And I'll tell you all as soon as it's done. It's kind of a work in progress.

I'm probably gonna get kicked out of all my groups soon. I just don't have the time or the access to graze this site like I'd like. I still check in on my friends, and graze a bit, but I'm not really gonna be active again until I get setled in Alaska.

Speaking of...I'm here in lovely northern California for another couple of days. I...

Made it to California in one piece. Now I'm gonna spend a weekend or so catching up with a friend of mine and his wife. Oh, and I'm gonna try to make their 8 month old daughter's first word "fuck".

Winter storm of the century, I scoff at thee...

So, I'm driving across this great nation of ours enroute to California to visit a friend before I head to Alaska, and Mother Nature decides to play with me, trying to kep me of the road. Too bad, M.N., I gotta keep pressing. I have explicit orders to be careful, and that's what I'll be. I...

A very good friend of mine told me I had to update, so here goes...

I rang in the New Year at my sister's house, surrounded by people who love me, and talking to somebody very special. No alcohol, no fire works, no huge party. Just family. All-in-all, not a bad way to start the year.

Today, dinner at Mom's. More family. I need to...

Morning, babycakes...oh, wait..*giggle* Sweetpea...that's better, right?

My resolutions are the proper balance between simple, and complex. Health, Happiness...ect. Why is it the end of the year and beginning of a new one is so significant with starting a new? Is a new calendar such a monumental change that we feel so strongly about making such life changes? I'm not judging, just observing...what do you think?

Safe travels, honey. kiss

Christmas...

Christmas was good, much better in fact than I thought it might be. No fights, and the only screaming was done by children too young to know what an "inside voice" is. I got an awesome long-sleeve Harley t-shirt and calender, tools (can always use more tools), the coolest one-cup coffee maker ever, and 150 bucks I promptly spent at Best Buy. Speaking of...

Hey! you have the same job my dad had in the Canadian Airforce.... 'course they weren't F-15's he was working on back then. (mid to late 1950's)

I'm just playin devil's advocate. I actually just made all that stuff up yesterday while I was standing in the shower. That thought started with the phrase:
"I bet somebody is going to come up with ...."

In keeping with the totally fictional and hypothetical situation,
"Their" goal behind the action was not to kill a bunch of terrorists, but to give the muslim world something else to concentrate on, a distraction.

In this fictional account, the small crew of researchers responsible for the experimental test would have no way of guaging how large the resulting earthquake was going to be, (if there would be one at all) all they knew was that they could just give the earth a little tectonic nudge and if anything in the region was close to going, it was going to go.

They wouldn't have required the energy to replicate a 9 on the richter scale, they simply would have needed the energy required to trip it. Akin to the energy required to push a teetering 400 ton boulder off the edge of a cliff over a town.

My post wasn't to put the theory out there for serious contemplation, I was just saying "Watch and wait, somebody soon is going to be putting this out there."

(That's if the aliens ever let them get off that damned ship.)

*AHEM!* It's NEW YEARS! UPDATE... wink I'm pretty bossy when I wanna be, huh? Well...probably not a surprise for you.

This year is full of questions without answers, except for the most important one, and the answer is yes, I do... kiss

I didn't think being in Korea, and eating shit sandwiches at work everyday for a year had that much of an affect on me. Apparently I was wrong, and that information was brought to my attention by a very good friend of mine last night. Thank you, very good friend.

Being home has been a lot better than I expected. If for no other reason...

Gah! 13 and a half hours on an airplane does not a happy Jerry make. If you ever go to Asia, make damn sure you want to, cause the flight across the Pacific is long and boring.

Anyway, got into town and saw my mom, sister, and nephew...hugs all around. Dinner (Applebee's), into bed. Friday, last minute Christmas shopping, general tooling about. Sarturday, my brother-in-laws...

Alrighty kids, the time has finally come. Tomorrow, 5:35pm Korea time (14 hours ahead of the east coast) I'm getting on an airplane and getting the fuck outta here. I'll be on spradically at best, but I'll make sure to pop in from time to time. Between my brother and sister having kids and my mother having dial-up, it's going to be difficult to stop...

Right now I'm watching Manchester United vs. Fulham on Star Sports. It sounds like the crowd is singing "The 12 Days of Christmas". Christmas carols everywhere you go it seems.

Someday I'd love to go to England and see a football match. I'd love to go back to Australia for a proper vacation. I'd love to make a difference. I'd love to marry (the right...
