I'm fairly certain there is no Platonic match for each individual, at least not in the way one of the philosopher's described in the Symposium...wait, is that the name of the dialogue I'm thinking of? I'm not sure. Anyways, one of the philosopher's posits that humans originally had four arms and legs and two heads and both sets of genitals, but we were broken apart at the creation of all things and so out there, somewhere, is the missing half of each person waiting to be found. It's a cute theory, but seems to leave out gay people, and frankly I think I'd look pretty bad with breasts.
I'm not sure about society, except to say that most days I agree with the guy who built the evil sky scraper in Ghostbusters, in as much as society is too sick to live. I say we turn over the planet to the cats and dogs and such and go back in the jungle and forests, mostly naked with pointy sticks and group sex.

poor kitty. did he eat something horrible? one of the cats here starts making bizarre squeeking noises for about a minute before each time she vomits. thankfully, this doesn't happen nearly as often as it sounds, but she does have a delicate digestive tract and a habit of eating things that aren't for food.

I came up with a new tuning in band practice today. So now our sound is really dreamy. We had one really pretty song and one really dark song and then I did the strange tuning. And it's this really lovely tuning.

This has been the weirdest weekend ever. The weird thing that I'm willing to reveal: I woke at 7:30 Saturday AND Sunday! WTF! I usually spend all weekend in bed napping. I've been...dare I say...PRODUCTIVE!

it's funny because i really liked natural born killers when it first came out. and i still think it is one of the most brilliantly edited films i've ever seen. but it rips off so many other films that did the same thing so much better (badlands, a clockwork orange, and wild at heart) the soundtrack is pretty damn good though.
