Anyhow, lots of drama, giving me headaches o the home front. By the way I saw the strokes pretty recently, and you know what??
they didnt even suck, they actually put on a fucking geat show. went to college with one of them, they ARE rich assholes, and they ARE ingenuine rip-ff artists, stealing from lou reed, the stooges, and nuerous other.
Guess what though, they blew me away live.
There I said it, you may now revoke my membrship to the snooty elitist hipster club.
Dont get me wrong they arent my favorite new band or anything though..
that reminds me of something funny that happened...
Unto Ashes doesnt get a shitload of fanmail, but it happends once in a while and NATURALLY we all love it.
It is even more rare that I personally get fanmail.
That being said, I got some.. and it was TOTALLY guhing gushing GUSHING about how great we were and evrything, which I just ate up, because if its one thing a musician loves to hear, its that their band is good.
So beig the cool guy that I am, I wrote back saying "yeah were planning to go to California, blah blah blah, we cant wait to play there, thaks for all of your excellent support.

Than the kid writes me back, thanking me for writing him, but closing the letter by saying..
"Well its not like you guys are the cure or something"
Gee dude thanks for building me up so much only to essentialy SHATTER me. I mean, no shit we arent the cure, the cure is one of the most successful alternative bands of all time, they play football stadiums, we play limelight and the trocader when we are lucky.
I laughed for a solid hour over that email fucking put me in my god damn place hahahahahaha
But for about 10 minutes there, I was returning fanmail, and It felt pretty excellent.. I just have to remember, "Its not like im the cure or something..."
