So ever since I came Across this story I have been fascinated and a little terrified by it. The case is inspiring a civil liberties debate, for obvious reasons.
Ok here is the first time the story broke:
And here is the Update:
Notice how the details of the story have changed from it was still dark out and he was seen by a woman and child cutting across his lawn and seeing him, to him lounging in front of his windows in front of a school bus stop potentially (read hoping) being seen by all of his neighbors kids.
I just don't understand how someone can get into trouble form someone looking into their windows when that person is on his property and he is doing nothing illigal. It is one thing if he was rubbing his junk up against the glass when the kids were actually at the bus stop, but that is far from the case here.
What troubles me most is the fact that the police have come to his house to arrest him and are following up and investigation. Surely there must be better use of Virginia's police and prosecutors time and energy. I also think what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If the man was arrested for indecent exposure then that woman should have been arrested under Virginia's peeping tom law. She was on his property looking into his window and saw him naked in his own residence unbeknownst to him. Sounds to me like she was as much of a peeping tom as he was a flasher, which he was actually arrested for.
