(be warned--i'm all over the place tonight--lots o'coffee...**jitter, tweek**
Just as I'm leaving for work, I go out back to check on the dogs and say "bye" and i see a trail of blood on the patio. Who's bleeding? Fine, fine, fine--Whoa. The lab has a tear in his pad, and it's nasty. I'm looking around and grab Teddy (the puppy) and he's got a broken canine tooth. You know the two things are related. Damn it. It doesn't even matter--i haven't been into the office before 11am in months. If i weren't the boss of me, I'd be bent. heh.
I get home from opera at midnight and the doggie hitman has enacted retribution on Teddy. Niiice. Puppy has a scratch on the face;alll swollen, hair matted, a little blood. WTF? I'm too tired for this shit. Everyone's fine... lucky for the boys i've had my fill of spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee. I'm sated (tummy only) but thinking fast.
They all followed Jim to bed and i have house to myself. I'm feeling particulary engeretic, though not industrious. I could clean...or craft. I think i'm going to think about the tattoo i'm planning on getting. Have a consultation on Feb 3, so time to put some concepts on paper.
Oh--the Opera is going well. I had forgotten that Jim had an company awards dinner thingie this weekend and i have to go. (have nothing to wear--well nothing i feel like wearing). I had opera Sat. & Sunday, but I've got it covered. I had written the Admin people and told them--and then told them they should adjust my check, but they said they'd let me keep the whole thing. Their reasoning was that since my "job" was to coordinate a work force and since I had enough people to cover, it was cool. Weird. It's weird to get a check for something i've done for free for the previous 7 years. Getting a check makes me feel like i'm not volunteering anymore. Somehow, i don't like that feeling...it's like selling out.
I spend the money i get on property taxes (have to--very expensive--prop. taxes suck ass. It'll turn you Republican--no. really. I'm fucking serious.) and lots of treats for the volunteer people & chorus people. Makes me feel better. Jen says i could take the money and have a drunken party--i may take her up on that.
Be well.

Hey I just read one of your comments in the PSW group. You have corset making contacts in riverside!?! My family lives in riverside, and I am getting married in May(I'm already married but we are having the formal wedding ceremony in may). and it is of a rennaisance(sp?) theme, and I need a good corset. I can totally pick up the materials if need be. Are they moderatley priced? I'm having a gown made with the fabrics I picked, and a matching corset would be hot! so any information you'd be willing to give would be AWESOME!
