every Ox pulls hard
the yoke that life has given
Green pastures await.

Photo Safari was the cavalcade of amusements. For Serious. I'll explain in detail later: Let's just say the following is the super short version.

1) nice drive to Irinve. Checked into hotel...finally got in my "smoking" room 6 door keys, two workman, five trips and an hour later. Did i mention there was a HUGE convention for catholics here as well? Oh jess. Took dirty photos for Jim completely unabated by all the religion downstairs.

2) Woke up early and went down to check out, and discoverred my car had a flat tire. Harhumph. Lucky I was a 1/4 mile from the only gas station i've ever found in the city of Irvine. And they got me back on the road with very little trouble, and were kind to me to boot.

3) While walking around taking photos, I stuck my lens cover in my waistband, since i didn't have a pocket in my skirt. Took the Balboa Ferry back and forth...then i noticed i didn't have my lens cover. Spent about a half hour walking and re-tracing my steps. After a while becoming discouranged that i lost it, realizing i can't order another one and THEN finding in in my underware. In my own ginormous granny panties. Yup. I see-sawed back and forth between really happy i found my lens cover and complete disgust that my panties were so big that i couldn't tell when something was in them. (hey! I hear you laughing...it's okay. i laughed pretty hard too)

4) Spend the rest of the weekend eating at Ruby's on the Balboa Pier, popping up to Fashion Island, to see and take pics of the custom built "Playhouses" and "Clubhouses" that they have on display. The houses are open to tour for a few dollars, then they austion them off for charity on October 14, i think. So hurry!

Took many pictures of Koi in the large pond they have just above the Ranch Market area.

5) Began a photo journal for FeZMonKey...a little stuffed animal who keeps me company in the car, and who has the ability to make me laugh dispite all the crap traffic i sit in. It's his tassle you know, it exploded, and looks quite amusing. I have many photos of him where ever i go. It's like the Gnome Taveling joke, but it the FeZMonkey, and he likes to eat out.

6) Went to a family b-day for my 3 year old neice. Fun. Except some fool wanted my Dad to hold the pinata while small children hit him in the crotch. DUH! Has no one but me seen all the America's Funny videos of all the pinata disasters? Lucky for Dad, it was a "safe" pinata whereby you pull one of the many ribbons hanging off the bottom, and one of them actually opens the parcel, letting candy spill down to the ground. No hitting needed. Dad's a lucky man.

7) Got home and dinner was ready for me. Jim's such a nice husband! Had a laugh looking at the photos and videos i had made while away. Then watched by Saturday Evening TV favorites. Taped Dotch! (I'm on tape #9...six episodes on each one! )

It's Monday: Spet 11, 2006. I wanted to add to the above journal, and elaborate on the bits i skipped over.
I'll be back to add photos in a bit. Have things to work on, it is Monday.
