my dog, shadow, died today. she was 13. she lived with my parents in maryland. she's really my dad's dog, but she's still mine, too. i always miss her. i haven't seen her since last xmas. i was really hoping she'd live long enough for me to see her just once more.
i didn't even get to say goodbye to shadow. i never thought last year would be the last time i saw her.
this is her as a puppy. she was cute. really cute. she was still cute last time i saw her, too, 'cause scotties stay pretty small.

the house is going to feel so weird when i visit this xmas. it's kind of empty and lifeless without a dog.

i know the feeling...my dog got hit by a car after a big snow 3 years ago, and the motherfucker didn't even stop! broke my heart...all she wanted to do was run in the snow and she got away from me, and that was it. hang in there.
