today jelly and are moving in to our first home! yay! what an adventure let me tell you! it's a cute lil 2 bedroom 1 bath in NoHo with a fabulous yard. some cosmetic stuff we'll be doing over the course of the next few years to make it a wee bit more modern, but overall it's perfect! the hunt was intense, the loan application stressful and the escrow process absolute insanity, but we made it! yay! today i'm moving pretty much all of our crap over there and on wednesday the movers come for the big stuff. by weeks end we'll be all moved into our house! it's almost surreal.
in other news, the job situation is a bit tough. my boss put us on an extended and unpaid "hiatus" until we get more work. when will that be? i have no idea, but as soon as i get settled in a bit i've got to start looking. until then i'll just collect unemployment!
at least jelly works and we saved a grip of money for this whole house fiasco so we can float nicely for a couple months at least. by then i'll be either back to work, or hopefully newly employed. until then i'm glad because it allows me to focus on moving and all that jazz. anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello with a happy lil update. more to cum!
