Hey ya'll! Boring fuckin weekend so far! I'm off, but nowhere to go and no one to see, well at least near here. There is someone I would have loved to go see especially today! hehe! Work was ok, had 2 nights easy. Yesterday morning was a little fucked up because I worked 15 1/2hrs. My relief called in at midnight to say he would be running late in the morning. WTF? He ran just 3hrs late!
One of my uncles died last Saturday morning, a day before his 77th birthday. The funeral was Wed. I spent as much time as I could with my relatives, before coming home to go to work. Seems like the family only gets together for funerals or weddings. Sad... Oh, I finally told my mom about some of the drama in my life. Going over there from time to time saying things are okay was getting old and stressful. So my friend Cato encouraged me to let her know what's going on. So after the SuperBowl, I talked with her briefly. Feel a lot better.
Can't wait for prom! I took vac days around that weekend. 12 days of vac! Now I just have to get tickets to Prom and a plane. I think that would be cheaper than driving to Cali. Also need to find a place to stay. Hell, I also need a date! hehe! There are a handful of you I would love to ask, but I need to ask that special someone 1st!
This is one of my favorite ships to load. Pic isn't too good, I was on the bridge going 70mph. I took it on the way home from the funeral Wed. This is the Etoile being pushed up to the ship dock by tugboats.
I took this pic today from the west bank of the Mississippi River. It's loaded heavy in the stern. We have to fill up 8 & 9 holds before shifting it back to load #1 hold.
Hannah, my middle daughter, made the all parish honor choir. Today was her first practice. The choir will be singing on the 23rd. I just thought of something - fuckin Mardi Gras is approaching fast, and I have vac around Mardi Gras! SWEET! I thought about taking those days down and adding 'em to May... unless I really have something establish to do Mardi Gras. Are any of you attempting to come down to Nawlins?? There's gonna be a hard freeze tonight through Monday night. I'll freeze my ass off in that lonely bed... Fuckin sucks! I think I rambled on enough. I'll try to update during the week. Oh, who needs a Valentine?? I sent out a few cards, which I really enjoy doing!
