Well I hope everyone had a great New Year! I had to work, but went home sick after having a migraine all day. That sort of ruined my day as it was one of those migraines that last all day. I just read Nixon's blog, and I really hope my year doesn't follow her superstition that she talked about. As I spent the night alone and most of it I was in pain.
I just picked up a new 80gb Ipod Saturday, and well I have to take it back. Everytime I try to upload songs to it it freezes up then nothing. I had to restore it several times Saturday night then I thought I had got it working as I hadn't had any problems till today. I uploaded a new video this afternoon and after I disconnected it it died on me again. So no music on lunch tomorrow or any of the beautiful SG's to watch.
I've started writing a new story this week. Not much on any real details other than it will be a short story. The main premise of the story will be about a man who has an uncontrollable darkness in him that begins to take over and it's effect on his mental state. The story will be split between what he is doing on the outside and the war for his soul with an emphasis on the darkness overwhelming his soul.
With the holidays over I'm feeling better mentally. No more holiday blues and in all reality it was rather tame this year. I actually had more issues with family dysfunction than personal sadness. Other than that I've been actively looking for a new job. I had one lined up, but the two people that represented the company weren't very helpful or seemed like they were knowledgeable of the position. It was a contract job that on the website claimed a year then when I spoke to them they thought it was six months, and if the company decided that they didn't need me I was out of luck since the recruiters were in Minnesota. So I'm back to combing the monster and career builder, but it's hard finding a job in my market here in Iowa. Actually scratch that if you want to work Mediacom or if you have experience than you can find a job no problem.
