two nights in suck city and counting...fuckin' hell:
well, i left my toilet in the hands of my apartment maintenance guy monday morning, as i had to go to an appointment...only to return to a sweaty maintenance guy running into my neighbor's apartment...
do you live here?- he asked.
yeah.- i replied.
oh, i'm sorry your bathroom flooded...- he said
i had to go to the bathroom, so i went to jack in the box and came back to see putrid toilet water seeping into my carpet.
long story short, a small portion of my apartment flooded with disgusting water. the mess was cleaned up by a professional cleaner but the affected carpet had to be cut out and removed. i slept on the couch last night and most likely i will be there tonight if don't clean off my bed which is covered in junk that didn't get wet. now i have to decide whether or not to replace the undamaged carpet (the rest of the apartment) or just let the carpet people do some kind of patch job on the missing carpet. some folks i work with think i should replace all of the carpet...which will be a bitch because i have ten thousand things to move and i have a bad back...and not too many friends who will be able to help me lift all this shit.
hopefully i will be able to update this every now and then...my room is really cramped. i had to climb over shit to write this....
work related weird shit of the day:
three men came thru my line almost back to back and they all had the same last name, same spelling but they were unrelated: shafer.
the weirdest fucking thing i've seen since i started working again...
