So pops has been in town for the past week or so. and i've been ungodly stressed under the weight of having to do 2 proposals. I didn't get to spend too much time with my pops but it was good seeing him. We did get to ride bikes in venice on saturday and kicked it with the homiez on saturday night. i love the beach. all the crazy fucking people and sun and the water, what a crazy scene.
so today, the proposals got done and sent off to new client. Dad and i played hookie and got thai massages at my new favorite little joint on hollywood blvd. called Pho Siam. 40 bucks for an hour (plus tip). can't be beat. where else can you pay someone to walk on your back and fuck with your muscles so much you wanna cry like the wee little lad that you are. seriously though, i fully believe that emotional shit gets stored up in muscle tissue cuz there were several points where i thought i was gonna cry, not from the pain (yes it hurt) but more from working through that shit. it's like therapy, for your muscle/skeletal system. (no, no 'happy ending', get yer head outta the gutter).
It's time to relax. going to kick back tonight with a wee little sick friend of mine and hopefully watch some more of my new favorite tv show "freaks n geeks". too muthertruckin good.

ps. i "received" the new beastie boys album today. and i just don't know what to think. it's either fucking insanely brilliant or these guys have finally fallen off. admittedly, the first time i heard "sabotage" on the radio, i thought it was a beastie boys rip-off band and the first time i hear "intergalactic" i thought it was mixed wrong and was all fucked up. but things change and sounds grow on you. We'll see where this new album ends up. give me another month before i make a final decision. On the "diggin' up old beastie boys gems" program, go listen to "B-Boys makin with the freak freak" from "ill communication". that song has been kicking my ass for a coupla days now. there a ton of fucking insane background loops in that song.
