So I've been making a point to leave longer comments on sets. At least 2 full sentences. As much as it's so amazing to leave ANY kind of engagement on a set, I think it means more to the girls (at least that's what I tell myself) if I say something meaningful.
A whole string of
Gorgeous
Beautiful
Pretty
Wow
Is nice, but I think if you challenge yourself to leave more than one sentence, it forces you to actually LOOK at the set. Take note of things like outfit choices, poses, use of lighting etc
And then I can leave a comment that shows the model I actually took time to give her set the consideration it deserves given the amount of work that probably went into it. Now, of course, I'm not ragging on anyone who leaves one word comments. I too love reading an entire page of people saying nice things about me!
But I think if we all challenged ourselves to look for something that makes the set stand out, the comment sections would be so much more fun and insightful! And don't be shy to leave some helpful advice too! Like, I would LOVE it if someone told me that pink isn't my colour okay!!(Please don't tell me that, I'll cry) We're here to support and uplift each other, yes, but also to help each other improve.
I sometimes leave entire dissertations on Hopeful sets giving them pointers on how they can improve. Be it "Hey I love your set, but maybe next time you can try making the lighting more consistent" or "Girl you are ROCKING that lingerie, I just wish we could have seen more shots of you taking it off! Give us a show!"
That's what community is all about.
So, maybe start challenging yourself to start leaving longer comments on sets. Be like "Beautiful! And your eyes are magnetic".
Just an idea. Who knows, it might spark conversation! I know I always make sure to personally message anyone who leaves a long comment on my sets too!!
I hope you're all having an awesome weekend!
Much love,
