I've been spamming my best friend with SOTD's for the last few weeks because I'm a petty betty but I wanted to share my points with all of you as well hahaha
Like a lot of girls here, she shot a few sets a few years ago and then gave up because she didn't think she had what it takes. So I've made it my sole mission in life to convince her to get back on the site and give it another try!!
Yes, being a Hopeful is hard, and the competition is stiff but lemme tell you something: IT'S NEVER TOO LATE.
As much as we all THINK we know what gets bought, we really don't. The only way to know for sure that your set won't get bought, is not to shoot one. That's the truth. All of the reasons and excuses our minds come up with of why our set won't be good enough, are just our own insecurities talking. Trust me, I've been there.
So let me debunk some of these myths, using the last few weeks of incredible SOTD's as evidence.
Gone are the days when we thought that if your set isn't bought within 3 months, it'll never get bought because...
SOTD 12/08/2025 by @mintypie went into member review in 2022!! So just because you didn't INSTANTLY get bought, doesn't mean you never will. Maybe they just haven't gotten to you yet girl! As long as it's still up, it's still eligible.
(Low-key regretting removing some of my older sets now, but I digress)
Oh, you don't think you'll make it because you're not white?
Did you miss @afrogaybe's SOTD on 24/07/2025?
This set was also in Member review for almost a year before it was bought, btw.

Anyway, my point is, you don't have to be ANYTHING specific to be an SG. Not aesthetically, anyway. Just shoot a good set, and your chances are just as good as everyone else's.
So if you've been hesitant because you don't think you have the "right look", this is your sign from the universe to JUST GO FOR IT.
If you're feeling demoralized because your set has been sitting in MR for months, IT'S NEVER TOO LATE.
I've been loving the girls going pink with old sets because I know how reinvigorating that must be for other Hopefuls who've given up on their dreams just because their sets have been out for a long time.
I feel like the powers that govern have been trying to prove a point with their SOTD selections lately and I just wanted to highlight it for those who might have missed it hahaha
And yes, my best friend will be shooting a new set soon.😏
