I just went to see Evil Dead the Musical. I saw it in 2004 as well, but I didn't remember it that well. It was freaking hilarious. Beyond the sheer fun of the blood seats, or splatter zone, as they now call it, the comedic elements worked really well. Ryan Ward who played Ash did an amazing job of nailing the Bruce Campbelll nuances....

I was at the Toronto Fan Expo yesterday. It was an odd experience. I missed many of the events I was looking forward to. I spent hours in line ups. The guests were disappointments. And yet, I had one hell of a good time.

I waited about an hour in a line of maybe 80 people to meet Yasuhiro Nightow. But when I did, he...

It's really amazing to be around.... even though it's not THAT old, it's impossible not to get a feel for age when around it.

While perusing Dorsal's new set I decided to vent my utter disdain for the Simpsons and Family Guy. Both shows are long past their respective primes, and it just depresses me that people are unable to let the shows die gracefully instead of propping their decaying remains before the cameras. Its smile is now a rictus grin, trapped upon a paralysed form. The writers -...

I like a film which strays from the source material - as long as it follows its director upon a new path. If the director has legitimate reasons to alter the text, than they should, by all means do so. It is after all, a film, and not a novel. They should be free to make these alterations. Blade Runner is my favouriote film adaptation....

I am so very tired, but no amount of rest shall ever revitalize me.
Rest requires return.

I am unbelievably bored, but no set activity will enliven me.
I must be free from constraints and expectations

I hate my job and my contemporaries.
They banter endlessly in loops, trapped in preset thoughts, providing arranged answers. They are unaware of their own limitations, and I know...

I asserted this theory after I first watched Children of Men, and no one I have spoken to about the film have agreed. It seems so obvious to me, that maybe I was just talking to the wrong people and this is self explanatory. Anyway, here is my personal theory about Children of Men

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

The film goes through a great deal...

I watched Live Free or Die Hard. The action was atrocious, but it was exactly as expected from the trailers. IT was furthered by the ridiculous actions of the side characters. The scene in which a jet flies beneath an overpass just to go at McClane head on might make sense if one of the villains was controlling the plane. Most of the stupid action...

I was planning on making a superpost to cover all the things I have read and watched recently. Instead, I think I will do them individually over the next little while. Anyway, here is the first.

Of all the movies I have seen and judged, I have only given out three 1/10 ratings. I have been trying to figure out exactly what makes a movie...

Holy crap. Did I wake up in a parallel uiverse? Or have I awoken at all? FARSCAPE IS RETURNING!! Shorter, sure, web only, sure, the actors may not be attached, sure, but it is frelling farscape. That being said, if there is one thing I am giong to need from this show it is Ben Browder. That man dominated the series. I can't think of...

I'm getting really pissed off at the Sanctuary website. I have had lots of difficulties in the past downloading the episodes and extras. There is no news section, and so I am stuck perusing the hideous sanctuary fans website (find the damn link for yourself), which tells me nothing. Now I am trying to support the show and buy the next bundle of webisodes, and...
