I just thought I would announce that I am somewhat drunk. I haven't been drinking much for the past year, but now I have been drunk for the past four days, which very conveniently parallels the time I have been back to school, as well as the time I have had my new drunken roomate.
There are certain issues around which I have difficulty admitting defeat. One such example being marathons. Not the running type, bu the sitting on my ass and commiting to hours or days of visual media. I am very proud of my record for beating Yizamat in Final Fantasy 12. It was some 12 consecutive hours. I am sure it could have been done quicker, but my pride resides within my commitment to doing this battle in one sitting. I am even more proud of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer record. I watched all 144 episodes in 144 hours. That is the full seven seasons in six days. The reason I bring this up is the possibility that I am competing with my new roommate as a drunken videogamer. I am not quite certain if this is true or not. He could certainly beat me in a beer for beer competition, but since there is no direct competition, I am competing with Jeff's lifelong friend as a friend of Jeff. That may heave been too convoluted an explanation, and for all I know, none ofit may be true, but the thought had occured to me.
In other news, I have assambled all of my friends into one band. Matt (my oldest friend. We have known one another for some seventeen years) as drummer, Jeff (my roomate for the past three years) as "shredder" / one of the guitarists, Rob (friend of a friend throguh Matt) as other guitarist, and potentially Ted (hasn't shown up to practice yet. I've known him for three years now) as bassist. They seem, based on one practice session to be a Mastodon inspired metal band. Matt is using the temporary name Harpies, but that has not yet been discussed.
That is pretty much an introduction to my life at the moment, except of course for minor things like, you know, school.
