I found Patrick’s replacement...
...and his name is Trevor.
He’s a temp who just started in my area, and when they brought him in with the rest of the group? Oh...my...GOD... My attention was focused directly on him and only him.
Even better is that we ran into each other in the hall while he was going to break. Introduced myself, chatted for a little...should have told him he could come with me for his 15 minutes.
He seemed genuinely happy that a full-time employee came up to him, introduced herself, and treated him with kindness.
Some people here don’t do that and it’s unfortunate...
Anyway...looking for forward to chatting with him again.
