My writing and productive cycle has slowed a bit, and I’ve stopped doing several things at once. Some have attributed it to major life changes, the majority of them starting on my 34th birthday back in June (and I can definitely agree with that).
One thing it has shown me is that I still pine for the world of the Children of Cross trilogy:
Under the November Sky (2018)
Singing Birds in the Grey Sky (2019)
Ashes Falling from the Winter Sky (2019)
I feel like I could continue to write more narratives in that world, but alas, I cannot. Ashes capped the series, and I had to say goodbye to the characters, locations, anything and everything that had to do with that story.
Jaclyn, Patrick, Allison, Zoey, Locke, Madeline, Cory, Robby, Karlie, Paul, El, Jerica, Sarah, Tristan, Tori, Mia, Shannon, Chance, Travis, Donovan, and Thomas, and the rest of the cast who made up the populace of the locations throughout the narrative.
I’m going to miss them all, but it was time to move on.
Screenplay 7 is coming along. I’m slowly chipping away at it, but that’s okay. I’m sure once I make it through these changes, or at least some of them, the cycle will pick back up again.
