Reeeeaaaaallllly rough night last night. I could not sleep whatsoever. I was sitting up all night with "Float On" by Modest Mouse running through my head. I love that song, but any song that is keeping me up all night is not one I want to hear anytime soon....
I haven't painted anything for nearly a month now. I was doing some work close to Christmas time, but not since have I picked up pen or brush. It's time to get cracking. In my defense I have been gigging every weekend with my band. It's been very lucrative for me, so that does somehow balance my lack of art. Ha.
I am going to attempt to do an image of Tyrion Lannister from the Game of Thrones series. He's such a badass. The fact that Peter Dinklage plays hime is even more badass. I loved him as the character FIn in the movie "The Station Agent". If you haven't seen that movie you need to.
I'm going to be seeing Mute Math at the House of Blues here in Chicago on February 17th. FOr those of you who haven't discovered these guys I HIGHLY recommend that you check them out. Their live show is second to none. A truly original group and stellar guys. My band had the opportunity to play with these guys several years ago and I've loved them ever since.
