A timeless classic.

I don’t talk about my childhood much and for good reason. But this movie is just one I can’t help but come back to once in a while. It has everything. Real life struggles, feelings of hopelessness, endless perseverance. But in the end it shows that sometimes those who’ve come before us may let us down, they may leave us, and they may even hurt us. Yet as long as we never forget what’s inside us, what we’ve learned from those before us, we can rise above anything. We can be there for those who need us, we can be better than those before us.

Every family has their struggles, but the Grapes can teach us a lot about humanity. Always enjoyed how much raw human emotion this film had. Hope you guys check it out if you get a chance and haven’t already seen it.

@jcarr041 I agree with you 100%. I try to separate politics and entertainment as well. Have you seen The Basketball Diaries? It is another film starring Leo and he plays a heroin addict. He did another great job acting in that movie as well. I would recommend watching that one too.

@butterflyandmarishka oh yes I like that one too. Just didn’t put it in my favorites haha one of those good films like requiem for a dream that I liked, great film but not one I enjoy rewatching much. He’s a great actor.
