Hello peoples
Friday night I went to a party we put on for my Japanese friends Graduation. If I ever say Im helping to organise someone else's party PLEASE stop me. I had an all right time, but because my name was on the hall we hired and wed put up allot of money for bond. I spent most of the evening worried about the property. So I didnt enjoy myself as much as I would have if I wasnt involved financially.
But everyone looked beautiful. Many of the girls dressed up in there Yukata and the boys in suits.
The girl on the bottom left (Maiko) is the one funky is in love with!
My friend Maiko insisted that the boys wear their suits. I kept on telling her that it would be too damn hot, but there was no changing her mind. So the guys spent all night wondering around complaining about the heat. Of course they looked great but it wasnt very comfortable for them. I wore my yukata to fit in with all the girls and let me tell you those things are useless. You cant do anything remotely physical in them. In no way shape or form are they a practical garment. Yes they make you look cute but that's about it. The sleeves get in the way when ever you try to do anything. Even simply washing up becomes a major chore. I was very happy when I could finally take the thing off. I think Ill stick to wearing it as a dressing gown from now on.
Saturday as some of you know I spent the day recovering and that's about it.
Sunday I watched the cutest animation Ive seen in a while. About a group of transforming racoons trying to save there forest by spooking the humans. Im not sure what it was called as it wasnt in english. But Ill try to get a translation.
Sunday I also discovered the only real down side to my new flatmate....... so far. She works with seals and dolphins and comes home smelling like day old fish and doesn't shower until before she goes to bed. So everywhere she walks and everything she touches ends up reeking of rotting fish.
Monday: today I discovered a lot about human behaviour. People at the moment are really shitting me and I cant stop myself from constantly contemplating WHY?
WHY are so many people arseholes?
WHY do they say one thing and do another?
WHY do they behave like idiots?
WHY, WHY, WHY?
And how can I use their behaviour to my advantage?
I think Ive found the answer, we are working through it at the moment. When Ive figured it out fully I think all my problems at the moment or many of them will be solved. It should be an interesting experiment.
Oh, my new favourite show is Carnivale. Its great I love it. Its even got that little dude from twin peaks in it. Actually the mood of the show reminds me allot of twin peaks. Just spooky enough to be interesting. Oooooooohohohhoooo...I think Im hooked!
Funky is making me my fav Tai dish, Tofu Kaprao. Tofu fried in a sweet tai basil and chilli jam. Yum yum yum. I always eat to much of this particular dish and end up rolling around on the floor in fits of pain. Thank goodness he doesnt know how to make black sticky rice in sweet coconut milk or else Id explode. Or end up looking like buddha!
Q what's your absolute favourite dish? Do you buy it take out or do you or someone you know make it?

That dish sounds delicious although I have never tried it. I must investigate! My favorite dish is Hunan Beef with Broccoli and steamed rice! I eat it till my pants won't snap anymore!
