and christmas flies past with such a fuss and you realise that you haven't posted for such a long time and you start creating stories in the shower about spiders.

I hope we all ate mountains of food, swallowed lots of christmas punch and played in delight with our new toys. but most importantly shared the day with people we love! The one person I love the most lives on the other side of the world...

So here is my very true tale of benjamin II and how he died today.
Over the last couple of days when I have jumped into my shower with the postal service playing in the background, I have noticed a very beautiful daddy long legs hanging from the corner of my shower. After a while the spider and i began to build a rapore and then as you would a pet I named him. Benjamin II after the mole that lives on my arm (another story for another day). Every day I would prance into the shower singing the lyrics "they will see us waving from such great heights" and benjamin would glide down from his corner and dance with me. Twirling and dipping to each song, he would climb up the wall slightly and gently drop himself back down. It gave me a strange boost of joy as I felt like i was connecting with a creature many would squash without a second thought, have these people not seen charlottes web? Today was no different as I jumped into the shower, singing the same lyrics and looking up for my friend. sure enough he was there, but as i lathered his twirling got him into too much of a frenzy and he fell. Within moments he had danced his way down the plug hole and there was nothing i could do about it. It is going to be hard to have a shower tomorrow.

think of 5 fantastic things that will happen in the new year! 2009 feels to me like the start of something special
