hey SG babies! Hope everyone is having a beautiful night (or day). I have just returned from work. My second to last day at my shitty retail job. After three years I finally called it quits! I won't miss most things about this job. I won't miss the drama, the lies, the deceit, the forgery. I won't miss the snotty stuck up mall customers. I won't miss the CONSTANT backstabbing. I won't miss the middle of the night emails or the all day long texts. I won't miss being way over worked and way under appreciated. I WILL miss working in my downtown shops. Theres nothing like being in Detroit, meeting people, making a difference in peoples lives. But, I live here. I can meet people everywhere. I will be working at Comerica Park for this ball season. Not making very much money and its obviously just seasonal, but I am excited for a change. And Im ECSTATIC to be in the ballpark all summer. Baseball is pure happiness for me. I love the game, I love the fans, I love the intensity! A lot of people think baseball is boring, I can see that. If you've never played and only have exposure on tv, yeah, its boring. 3 hours or more for a game, theres no time limit, But if you know the game, or have played ball on a team before, its different. I'd imagine the same goes for football, or hockey, or any team sport where you are growing and learning as well as having fun and making lasting relationships and team building and all that :) But baseball- theres something magical about it. An intellectual sport, playing outside in the summer..... how little boys and girls bond with their dads or older siblings at a young age playing catch..... its just great. Something about baseball moves me inside.
anyway, enough being a sap. Im going to smoke (finally) and relax before my roommates show.
