I'm currently really frustrated with my career. The place were I'm currently at would by most accounts be a damn good place to work. I generally get preferential treatment from my boss, whom I get along with well. I now get to work from home two days a week and I'm always doing something cool and creative.
So what's the problem? Money, of course. I am being drastically underpaid. If you go to one of the career wb sites and check out their average salary calculators for my profession in Calgary, I am being paid half of the lowest end of their average salaries. Plus I get no benefits what-so-ever. There are many more layers to this story, but needless to say trying to get more money from him is not easy.
So, I have started looking around for another job. I just had an interview at a porn web site in town (of all places). This job would be primarily as a Photoshop touch up artist, making all the nudie girls look pretty. The other part of the job would be as a film crew assistant... and, well "clean up crew"
Not a jizz mopper, but a dildo cleaner. I'd get to travel to exotic places a couple times a year and I'd be making $5 more per hour than where I am now, but I don't know how well I would get along with the boss at this place.
SO, if I'm offered this new job, I figure I will see if my current boss what's to try and match what the other place is offering and go from there. Heh, I won't be able to tell him what the other job would be. If I told him that I'd be flying around the world to work with beautiful naked women for $5 more an hour, he'd ask me if I could get him a job there

there you go being all quiet again...well if it makes you feel any better i want to leave my job too, i'm underpaid, overworked and all in all not a happy camper. but hey it's bathtime and my rubber duckie always makes me feel better.
