So I am waiting outside of class reading my Charlie Parker book. Class ends and Mr. Davis walks out, stops and asks me what I am reading.

Me: Bird Lives! A Charlie Parker biography

Davis: Cool

Class is in session....he asked a question

Davis: Vocables is to Native American music as ________is to Jazz

He picks on me again.

Davis: Now you should know this...your reading about it.

Me: uh?

Davis: Why are you so into Charlie Parker?

Me: He is a great player

Davis: That cool that you want to know more...

After that Mr Davis "scats" a jazz line...improvised. Thats the answer to the question

Class is dismissed.

Davis: Charlie Parker I want to see you.

Me: Ok

Davis: how is your guitar playing?

Me: Better

Davis: Have you considered taking Jazz guitar.

Me: no

Davis: because I see your interest in Jazz

Me: ok

The story actually is about me being able to play Jazz music...I have to be good at intervals and triads. Which I am struggeling with. We wants to test me on them. He repeatedly told me to come to his office for help.

Nobody has really noticed me in that way before. I really don't know what to say about it really. Thought I would tell the story.
