It sounds like you've been good . . . hot dates, trips 2 Chicago, makin hot new friends! kiss As for Austin, it's one of my favorite cities in TX. One of the prettiest (lots of trees, hills, and lakes). The weather is nice, too (not as humid as houston). And there's a LOT to do (6th Street=Party Street). Let me know what you're up to.

All throughout my childhood I wanted to be a writer. I used to devour books at an insane rate (I still do), but these days I don't really have the time to write my own stuff anymore. Someday I'd like to finish a novel, but it's not happening anytime soon. frown

A crazy weekend in Chicago with some of the people I love the most. And, I get back, only to find the lovely Cairo has asked me to be her friend! I am indeed a lucky man.

I haven't thought deeply about it yet, mostly because of my brother's involvement in it. If it had been anyone else, it would have been infinitely less disturbing, but as it is, I prefer not to dwell on it just yet.

Very fun evening. Had a "date" with my wife today -- movie, cocktails, dinner, more cocktails. We both flirted with our favorite barmaid who is leaving for NYC next week. She loves us ... she told us so,so it must be true!

My friends are away -- vacationing, travelling for work, etc. It's quiet here without them though sometimes I enjoy the private time that falls into my lap. I should use this opportunity to write but that big, ugly block is still preventing anything clever from developing into prose. So, instead I'll probably drink beer, watch baseball and hope a Suicide Girl knocks on my door....

Took a day off from work for -- physical (suggestion guys: avoid a prostate check if at all possible. i didn't know whether to punch out my doctor or ask him out!), 2 hours at the mechanic with a finicky car, non-work-related meeting and household chores. whew!

I look forward to sitting behind my desk tomorrow, playing on my computer in air conditioned comfort.

Hope y'all had a good weekend. Today was pretty slow-moving. Actually, downright boring. I'll take responsibility for that, however, so I won't complain. But I did want to add that visiting this Web site injects life, color and beauty into an otherwise grey day. Thank you for all who participate and share so much of yourselves.

OK -- In an effort to diversify my summer cocktail selection, I've tried a number of different options. Of course, as summer drinks go, it's hard to beat beer and gin & tonic, but for something different, I gotta recommend "Twisted Tea," an alcoholic iced tea drink. Refreshing and enough of them give you a nice warm weather buzz.
