A week's vacation ahead so that's good. But I am troubled -- like so many of us -- by the rampant violence in the mideast and the continuing craziness in Iraq. It's difficult to enjoy oneself when the world is upside down. Ideally, the United States could be the leader in peace. It's not the case, not with this morally corrupt White House calling the shots.

It's not good.
