Seattle was fun, and I got to see many friends. I do miss Seattle, but I'm settling into life here now in Brooklyn.

The separation aspect is weird--we're getting along better as a roommates than we have otherwise in years. We started the mediation process and it looks to be worth it since we are both focused on what's best for our son. However, I don't think she'll be moving out anytime soon since she doesn't have to do so. That means dating we'll be a little challenging. So far it hasn't discouraged anyone, but I have a feeling it will get in the way (well, it already has).

I think it will still be better in the long run....
