This was the first Thanksgiving in ten years where I didn't host the event. It was a bit strange not having people over, but I did have a great time at our friend's place. The food was fantastic (used to be the executive chef for a well known restauranteur in Seattle), and I got to meet some fascinating people. I did get to bring a few items (my butternut squash gratin was a hit), but the problem is--no leftovers!
