A few hours before I was supposed to leave for Europe, SAS called to inform me that my flight was cancelled and I was going to be rebooked for the flight on the following day. Since that flight would put me in Antwerp after my meeting, and there were no other flights that could get me there in time on other airlines....so didn't go which...

Sick day #2. I need to get better since I'm leaving for a week in Europe on Saturday. What should I expect out of Belgium--especially Antwerp?

Went on a pub crawl last night with some coworkers. The main reason was to celebrate a coworker's new job, although I'm bummed that he's leaving since he's one of the stars on my team.

I did manage to keep up with the crowd, although I was hurting this morning. I used to be able to recover a little faster, but I've had the stupids...

This was the first Thanksgiving in ten years where I didn't host the event. It was a bit strange not having people over, but I did have a great time at our friend's place. The food was fantastic (used to be the executive chef for a well known restauranteur in Seattle), and I got to meet some fascinating people. I did get to bring a...

Mom arrives tomorrow. Should be a weekend of torture and off-hand putdowns to endure for everyone involved. I love the holidays.
gabriellamarie:

Don't have too much fun.

Saw Norm MacDonald tonight. Although he was very funny, he started out a bit out of it...almost like he had just received some bad news. I wonder what was up.
gabriellamarie:
I have no clue.

I saw the scenery, and tasted the wine, but it is sometimes difficult to enjoy the people when you are being harassed. kiss
gabriellamarie:
Incredibly rich, deep color full body exploding in your mouth, sounds so dirtyI am sure your search has been fruitful. kiss

Finally back from from my recent set of travel. Canada was fun. Instead of flying from Ottawa to Montreal, I decided to take the train. It ended up working out great since I got to see the countryside and not have to deal with the security hassles of airports.

Went to see a friend's band participate in some battle of the bands. They sounded okay,...

This week I'm off to Ottawa with a few hours in Montreal. I won't be home until the weekend which kinda sucks.

BTW, I got to see Dead Can Dance last week (front row). They were amazing. The room was definitely emotionally charged.
phytopsychotica:
Damn... can't wait to see DCD myself. They gave me absolute shivers last time I saw em.
gabriellamarie:
OCanada.what do you think of those Canadians eh?

I had to put one of my cats down. Although he lived a very long and good life, it still seemed too soon for him to go.

It was a surreal and emotional experience. He was one of the first pets I've had as an adult (since 1991) and he's seen a lot through those blue eyes of his.

Rest in peace, Squeaky. miao!!
gabriellamarie:
I think its going to take me a yearat least a year.

I'm sorry about your cat. A long life is a good life, and you can't ask for anything more.
