On my way to Chicago..........

I think I need to start retaking the vicadin.

Finally, the in-laws left. I do like them, but I found it funny that my father-in-law had to sit in my usual spaces around the house (at the table, in the living room, etc.). I'll have to make sure that he didn't mark some other spots around the house.

Had surgery on my elbow...now I can't bend my arm, nor use it for mst daily tasks. It's rather pathetic, yet entertaining to watch. At least the bump they took out was nothing notable.

Welcome spring, welcome allergies. If only I could breathe.

Back to the grind.

Decision to make: watch the game or work on that presentation I have to give to the division later this week. I could try and do both, but I'm afraid of what the presentation will look like. However, it could be really entertaining in the long run.

Fortunately, this upcoming involves another trip to SF, and I get to see some close friends.

I love the dog park! I prefer going when the regular folks/dogs are there since they are much more easy going. Today I got to watch my mini-dachsund chase a bunch of pit-bulls/staffordshire terriers...it was hilarious.

Pastis is fun!

It's my first post of 2003, and I feel fiesty. I'm sitting here after the events with a bottle of 1995 Veuve Clicquot and not feeling much pain. Not even the pain of "L" not admiting me to the SeattleSG group for unknown reasons. I guess I'm not cool enough, or he has too many to get to all of the approval submissions.

Okay, I went against my usual and had people over for Christmas Eve dinner as opposed to Christmas Day dinner. It was a bit strange, and my food didn't turn out the way I prefer, but it was still tasty...honey lavender duck, black truffle mashed potatoes, tart cherry stuffing, butternut squash gratin, garlicky greens (red chard), with my duck gravy. The doctor gave me this really powerful antibiotic--doxycycline--that I'm told is like a mild form of chemotherapy. It supposedly kills all bacteria, good and bad. It has all of these restrictions that really feels confining. At least I can see out of my eye again, especially since I was freaking a lot of people out with the inflamed pink eye.

Now I only have one...
