Grandpa had surgery. He's come out of it ok. It's too early to tell how well it went, but they took out about a foot of colon.

Still, all things considered it sounds cautiously postiive. My mom visited him in the hospital and he was already joking around.

As for me? There's a girl whom I've been talking to online for about 6 months, and I think I'm starting to fall for her. And strangely enough, she seems to like me back. Sadly she lives in Illinois, and with her ex. I've offered to send her cash to get her to visit me. She first said no, not because she didn't want to see me (which would have been my thought) but she didn't think I should have to send her money. I asked her to think about it, and she agreed.
