Grandpa had surgery. He's come out of it ok. It's too early to tell how well it went, but they took out about a foot of colon.

I found out my grandfather has colon cancer.

No smilie adequately shows my distress right now, so just try to imagine one.

I've got a washer and dryer. While large payments, the stigma of adult-like responsiblity attached to major appliances, and the fact that it might eat into the Vegas trip I'm hoping for this summer all kinda suck, but having clean sheets is definately pretty cool.

I really wish I had some profound wisdom, or humerous anecdotes to share, but all I can say is I hope everyone's Holidays are going well. I chose to have a bit quieter Christmas this year at the last minute, and while a bit lonely, I really don't mind. So eat, drink and make merry!
