Time is always slipping just out of our reach, but I try to feel every fleeting moment (-whether good or bad).
I have great news!! My first set comes out in 1 month and 2 weeks. By the talented @atlanticlungs . Time crept up on me in this instance. I'm quite excited! I am a bit unsure of what to expect but I hope you all like it. I hope that the past couple of years I spent hustling the artist lifestyle and practicing modelling every chance I got has paid off. I hope the accumulation of my accomplishments / failures and passion / pain make for an interesting photo set at the very least.
Even though I was a SG applicant since the start of 2014 I never uploaded a set until the start of this year so my application was never completed. And here I am now, with the gracious talent and help of atlanticlungs.
I attempted to do a set with a good photographer friend of mine. Since meeting from a random encounter where he 'headhunted me at a market' to model for him, we were both starting out - I as a model and he as a photographer - We have caught up to shoot every 6 months or so and its great for the both of us to see our improvements and see how far we've come due to persistence and having an open mind. So I approached him once to get together and shoot for my #SGH set, but he had never done a set before let alone full nudes, and I was obviously oblivious and inexperienced - despite trying to gather information from the SG site I was just overwhelmed I believe.
Even though it was an amazing day, we broke into a run down half torn house and a random abandoned train carriage in a field, afterwards looking through the set I felt that it wasn't consistent enough or SG material. So I never uploaded it or any other set - perhaps also due to personal insecurities - but I had also started tattooing in my tattoo apprenticeship so my 2014 was consumed by that.
Even though becoming a suicide girl was always a dream, it lingered in the back of my mind and focus. Until at the start of this year a good friend of mine - Kitty Kat - mentioned an amazing melbourne photographer, whom she had worked with before, had started taking photos for sg sets. With this seed implanted yet again, I thought fuck it! I'll get in contact with her and see where it leads.
... But here we are now, here I am close to releasing my first set into member review and it still feels all so surreal to me.
Thank you everyone! Members, photographers and other baben ladies! For being so wonderful over the last few months and made me feel right at home. Plus the best part about this whole experience is meeting like - minded, talented, and wonderful dudes and dudettes.
I can't wait to hear and see the results of this set, this is the first of many and there are exciting times ahead.
So full steam ahead!! 2015 seems to be the year for me in terms of new SG experiences and a whole bunch of incredible firsts. Much Love <3 <3
