i was tired like 10 mins ago. but not anymore. at least the baseball game replay is on and thatll help me fall asleep.
looked at some cars today.
the idea was to find my little brother a car. but its turned into me getting a car and my car going to my little brother. at first we were looking at cars. then we narrowed it down to just mustangs. now we're only looking at mustang gts. i test drove this sweet 95 gt. its a 5.0. black with flowmasters, cold air, new headers, new tires, cobra rims, it roared. i love the pickup it had. i was in love. but it has like 129k miles on it which really freaks my mom out.
then we went to this dealership who had a 97 gt. not a 5.0 but still a gt. the website said it was an auto, but it ended up being a manual. it really pissed off the salesman who didnt even realize. he apologized like 40 times. i felt bad for him. it only had 100k miles and was an easy thousand less. we were both pretty disappointed. my mom said if it was an automatic id probably be driving it home that minute.
then she picked up a paper and saw a mustang gt... 97 i think in burlington with 11k miles and for only like 3800. that scares the bejesus out of me. it must've been in one major accident or put in a garage and forgotten about for 8 years to only have 11k miles on it and be so damn cheap. i wonder if it even has an engine. regardless definitely slowed up the decision process on the 5.0 i drove today. we're going to try to talk him down to 3500. its got a lot of upgrades on it, but with the mileage we basically know the transmission is gonna go in the next 50k miles and it just wouldnt make sense to pay a lot of money for a car we know we're gonna have to put 1500 towards in the near future.
im kinda new to the car buying stuff and im just really anxious. i hate the waiting around. the driving around looking at cars im not going to buy. i hate going to a dealership. looking at a stang, driving it around, then going home empty handed. its like going to a toy store with a checkbook, walking around for an hour and not buying a single toy. unless i find the mustang that really calls to me i want the one i drove today. its the same exact car as kyle's, just black. we brought kyle along to look at it and he said it was in pretty damn good shape. that really helped my mom with the decision making.
i feel bad getting in my plymouth neon and resenting it. it never did anything bad to me. always been there. for the most part always started. it doesnt deserve my negativity. but the stang calls! it calls!
