I'm back! and with a new raison d'etre! In case you didn't know, I've spent a lot of time painting portraits of three women featured in the 1972 book Gentleman of Leisure: a Year in the Life of a Pimp (see my pics). I want to have a show but this endeavor has been stalled indefinately due to copyright issues that I need to resolve. GRRRRRR It took me a long time to move on but I've come upon a new subject that I can feel as passionatly about as Kitty, Linda and Sandy. I've decided to take on the subject of girls/women with eating disorders. I want to give them a voice, tell their stories through portraits and their own words. All I need to do now is recruit women with ED's who are interested in participating through donating their words and image to the project. Wish me luck!
