I think I should start the Sylvia Miles fanclub. I just saw Paul Morrissey's "Heat" and I've also seen her in Midnight Cowboy and She-Devil. That broad's got the best voice in showbiz. I think she's still alive...
My foster kittens (freddie, shirley and greyboy-see pics) must go back to the shelter tomorrow morn. They are fully socialized and are ready for adoption. To all of...

So uh... when we going to sit around and listen to the Cranberries and debate the finer points of her lyrical stylings? I say right now would be a good time.
velvetkither:

Yes! I have located my Hello Nasty CD! Good times, good times. But now i'm listening to jazz. That's right, jazz. Damn you Ken Burns!

Bix Beiderbeck (fucking cool name) and the Whiteman band are doing "There Ain't No Sweet Man (Worth the Salt of My Tears)" Excellent track, and pretty progressive for the 1920's, i must say...

Poor Bix emulated his idol Louis Armstrong...

I majored in music for a time in college. I remember seeing a picture in my Jazz textbook of Beiderbeck holding his instrument. I guess he was pretty huge at the time, but now he's basically a historical afterthought. A beautiful tragedy. smile frown

i can't remember who it is right now, but i have a friend whose dad is phobic of buttons. damn, it's making my brain work to figure it out. when (if) i do, we should introduce them to each other. gotta be a weird phobia. mine is small metal objects, touching my skin or (the worst) my mouth/teeth/tongue. so yeah, piercings are out. the dentist is mighty unpleasant too, i might add. luckily my brother is my dentist and he numbs up my mouth before doing anything in there.

i dated a boy once who couldn't touch ceramic tile. the sink and the toilet were fine, but he had to wear flipflops in the shower. i feel bad that i thought that was silly, especially since i made him take off his jewelry at the door...

ahh phobias

p.s. i eat with plastic forks/spoons whenever possible

Yeah, being a veggie sucks when you go to the theatre and are starving.
"Shit, I'll have a pretzel. You are SURE you don't have veggie dogs."

lucky1336929:

What a day. I did absolutely nothing. Woke up, watched some tv, went for a 2 hour walk, felt depressed and came home to take a nap. Woke up, felt less depressed and watched Manor House on KOCE. Excellent program! surreal

My painting of Linda (#7) is finally finished! Oh happy night. Greyboy approves, and that's good enough for me. Now it's time to get laid.

As John Lennon once said:

"God is a concept by which we measure our pain"

Connect the dots and you get a shamrock. kiss

As Shane MacGowan once said:

"At the sick bed of Cuchulainn we'll kneel and say a prayer, And the ghosts are rattling at the door and the devils in the chair"

That's right.

So I'm going on a road trip this weekend but you should definately become one of the clan. We party and do stuff together almost 4 times a week. That is the SGLA/my cheesie crowd.

When I get back from PDX we should hang.
sketcherboy:
pen and ink. i then scan, and sometimes colour using photoshop, but most of my work is black and white. i like the starkness of it.

and all the best people like angelina. wink

Thank you!!!
I love your kitty pics! And are those incredible paintings self-portraits of yours??? W o w .....
whip:
I love you too, but I miss you! You never call and I can't remember the last time we made out. Sadness...

I refused to be called a man that only likes the Cranberries, I'm a man that LOVES the Cranberries. She sings for, to and about me in almost every song smile

I've lived all over, but I grew up in LA. So yeah, I consider myself a native. I'm living in West LA / Santa Monica now. How about you?

I like the paintings... I wanna see more.

congrats! did the girls sell anything? I like going furniture shopping in Watts, you can find some really good stuff really cheap.

as for the windshield comment, it's a stupid thing, it was really just a joke for me. so don't feel bad if you don't get it, because I'm the only person who knows what it's about. i'll hesistantly tell you if you really really want to know!

If those pictures are your artwork, I really like it. Are they self portraits?
