I'm in total capitalist, consumerist love with my iPod and iStore at the moment, which I find astonishing because I'm not usually sucked into mass consumerism. (Ok other than buying Vogue and fantasising about clothes and being gorgeous, but that is different and I can maintain a fairly strenuous feminist argument to that effect when pushed!)
I've been having a great time trawling through iStore, looking up songs I used to like, ones I've only heard once on Rage at 4am, and albums I've had pilfered by my ex boyfriend or flat mates over the years (they all have a habit of taking my cool stuff and hiding their dodgy rubbish in my collection... Would I ever have bought a Wide World of Sports CD? I think not!)
I've just added a lot of "chick rock" to my iPod like The Donnas, Veruca Salt and Hole. The Donnas' songs about going out, getting drunk and picking up boys have had me breaking into song in public for days now! ..."For-orty boys in forty ni-ights/I got no time to see the si-ights..."
