My day:
1) Got up at 7:15am to get ready for a fun-filled day of activities, after only 3 hours of sleep. Mood: Exhausted
2) Coached 4 private lessons and a half hour of group lessons for figure skating. Mood: Frozen, hungry, but happy and energized.
3) Took a mini break at Donkey (a coffee shop that's punk and kickass), got a Mocha but forgot to bring my GRE stuff to study. Mood: Relaxed and frantic at the same time.
4) Went back to the rink to skate guard for 2 hours...dealing with whiny kids who can't skate and their parents who think that they are special and don't have to follow the rules that they have never heard of (it's posted. read it.) while my feet got frostbitten from standing around so long. Mood: Cranky and agitated.
5) Took another mini break (this time only for a half hour) and went to the skater's christmas party. yay. About 30 kids age 5 to 14 running around a house screaming about when they can open the presents. Had to go, one of the two coaches in town today out of 15. After an hour and a half of this shit, I freaked out, needed to leave, but was parked in. Not wanting to go back inside, I edged my way out with about 3-4 feet on each side of me to work with.... got out and a tree was blocking my way. So instead of stopping there....I drove through the yard, dodged some pretty young trees and edged my way out of yet another clusterfuck of cars with about a foot give on each side. Mood: Crazed and worn out.
Today sucked.
