So Halloween at Ohio University is here, and if you haven't heard of our ridiculous block party, it's out of control. They block off all of court street, the 'main' street uptown, set up two stages with bands playing all night, and THOUSANDS of costumed party goers crammed all into a few blocks. I've partaken in the activities since I've been 15, being a townie, and dressed up every year to participate in the debauchery, but I'm just not feelin' it this year. I think I'm done. There are millions of cops just hanging around, from all over the state, volunteers I might add, and cops on horses, and undercover cops, and liquor control agents, and undercover liquor control agents, and probably 50-75 cops at any point of the night hanging around city hall (right in the middle of things). I know they're trying to make it a safe night, but really? I could do without all of the panic attacks. I'm still under 21, for another 2 weeks, and I don't plan on getting arrested in the home stretch. That would be ridiculous.
