Tolka Rovers! Talk about a glamor tie! 
My cousin was interning at Chicago's NPR station and he would have an hour and 30 minute commute each day and he also read a ton on route. One of the things I miss about being at uni instead of home is that I would always have more time to read on a consistent basis.
Here I go in spurts jumping from one form of media to the other. Right now with the Celtic season beginning, as well as several American sports slowly starting up, I spend most of my time browsing the net for various articles or information as opposed to reading the stack of books I have in the on deck circle.
I funnily enough played cricket at uni, so if you know any decent books there I'd be interested to know. I also brought that and rugby to the camp I used to work at during the summers (and since their high school has its own rugby program now).
India is the team I root for, although I rarely get to see games now.
I may get back into the book cycle in a few days, I'm halfway through several and more are waiting to be read including a book on Errol Flynn, who apparently was quite the character.
I have been looking for different things on the beginnings of American soccer though books like this.
It's $45 bucks. I don't know if its worth it or not. Have you heard of it before?

Good shout, I actually saw that today.
It looked like it would be something for someone new to the game to pick up, but not for anyone that is a serious diehard of the sport and spends time following it.
I find many books written as essentially "Americans Abroad" are filled with the same old stuff and they have to explain "rules of the game" and things of that nature.
I wish most of them had moved past it, but they still write as if we don't have a fanbase that knows anything.

Absolutely one of the most surreal and bizarre press conferences I've ever seen. Reminded me of Steve Sampson's dissembling (oddly enough, in St. Denis...) in 1998.

That's great. Talent and intelligence turn me on to no extent, that's why I ask.. I feel much more attracted when someone knows what they're doing. If they look good but just stand there pretending they know about it all it gets kind of off putting. It's just ehhh, you'll find a lot of pretty faces in bands that are just THERE, you know?
I'm glad you like our stuff! We have changed those two songs a little, especially the one called Gloria (it's much heavier) and now there's two more. I am mad because Boca Juniors were eliminated last night in Brazil but I am pumped up because of the Euro 2008 competition, and I hope that Holland wins playing beautiful futbol. and I also hope that Italy loses in the first round. But how are you? your health? A big hug to you!

There is no doubt in my mind that Dundee United will play one of their best games of the season against Celtic. Some say they have nothing to play for, but those people are wrong and don't know the club or their manager.
They are playing for a sense of justice and trying to right some wrongs and I expect them to come out guns blazing making Celtic play at their highest level for some time in order to raise the third league title in a row and cementing surely one of the best comebacks in Scottish history.
St. Mirren held Rangers to a 3-0 win, which means Celtic are +4 going into Thursday's game. To me that means if Celtic win, the title is theirs since I would be SHOCKED if Aberdeen let in five goals when they have a chance of securing more cash in the final league standings and play spoiler to their greatest enemy.
With the recent passing of Tommy Burns, I think the team will be overcome with emotion in this game and hopefully they will lift the trophy in his memory. Do it for Tommy should be the motto, just as Motherwell did it for O'Donnell by sealing UEFA Cup qualification and honoring his memory.
You know Celtic has stumbled and effectively given Rangers two league titles since the SPL's inception. Now should be the time Celtic clinches it on the last day.
What a finish to the season though.
By the way, it seems the Celtic/Motherwell charity game could be a sell out. Another great story for Scottish football.
I do hope Dundee United plays Mack the Knife over the tannoy in Burns' honor like some of the other clubs did over the weekend. It should be a good match and I pray a fair one for ours and for the Rangers game as well.
