There do not seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything I need to get done! I will post more when I have time but quickly:

August 4th is Aaron's birthday party here in Chicago (That would beCat's late husband) annd Li and I encourage all to attend to help raise money to defray his enormous medical costs.

August 6th,...

Long week! Brief detail: Went to NYC, did the American Chopper story. Got motorcycle license (now I'm legal, whee...). Work is nuts. I need to find people that make furniture. Signed to Fox Soccer yesterday. Started up a record label: Abernathy Plumming is officially a go with records coming out from Killer Whales and two others to be revealed shortly. Releases will hit in fall...

Hey, thanks for joining SG Scotland.
Your Makes Me Happy and Fantasy section gave me a laff as I'm drinking tea from my flatmate's Dundee United cup as I type this. Maybe it'll give them the edge over Aberdeen this afternoon?

Plug your label in SG Scotland, I'm always trying to start music threads but my tastes are too obscure.

I'm just relieved we got the injury time equaliser! I'd already braced myself for a defeat. I just hope that we don't have a season of dramatic 'nearlys' . For instance, winning 5-1 on Tue and the disgrace of exiting being glossed by a fightback we should never have been required to make. whatever

Anyway, I see you've joined SG Scotland. I'm sure you'll be deluged with demos! smile

Flying out tonight to do American Chopper on Discovery Channel. Should be...odd. I'll let you know how it is. NYC peeps, if you want to hang, call us on our cells.

Welcome to SGMC!
Please post your bike in Pix of my bike and introduce yourself to the gang in theNew Member Intros topic.

It's good to hear, for once, that celebrities are nice folks in person.

Hey, I haven't updated for ages because 1) I've been unrealistically busy and 2) miserable. Lots of stuff going on here so all of us are having to put our heads down and slog through it -- just the usual stuff that takes away from life being fun, but I guess you have to deal with it.

This weekend is Intonation in Chicago; I'll be...

Actually...

I think some of the real versions of the covers (sans red blindfold) are starting to pop up. I assume they had a couple versions ready so as to not ruin the story.

~A LIKELY POSSIBILITY~

RONIN: GROUP EXHIBITION & NEW WORKS by AARON WATKINS. August 4, 2005- September 29, 2005. Lux Gallery, Chicago, IL. Opening night silent auction to benifit the Watkins Cancer Treatment Fund, August ?, 2005

Hey guys- Aaron's Art Show and Slient Art Auction is still happening.

I am collecting artist contact info and work samples/pics to see about hanging a cohesive exhibition.

Anyone who is still intrested in donating work for this show is PLEASE welcome to contact me either in my journal or e-mail me directly at catsuicide@hotmail.com

The show will likely generate a good deal of PR and in the very least artists will be garaunteed exposure in return for their donations.

Eh, another long weekend.

I was gonna write about how weird it is that I am oddly fascinated by the Tom Cruise-Broooke Shields flap, but I got bored. (In a nutshell, what I was going to say is that it says so much about our country that they only references people have nowadays are to celebs, as opposed to historical happenstance.)

Not much else happening....

You know, that's one reason I reason BBC news. At least there's real news being reported.
ojaeflo:
WW had been blinded recently in a battle with Medousa. In the issue I reviewed, Athena restores her sight as a token of her esteem. All WW covers from now through September show her still sporting a blindfold, but it was clearly a ruse that DC will correct so that people didn't find out early that she regained her eyesight.

In the "Well, it never ends" Dept., I have apparently come down with shingles. So I am quite miserable.

The benefit for Cat's husband apparently netted close to $10,000. Good show!

I have a great deal of work to catch up on and no energy at all to do it. It is very depressing.
